About Kathleen

I grew up in Portland and love it here.  I graduated from Willamette University with degrees in International Studies and French.  In the mid 80's, I moved to the Bay Area where I began my career in the mortgage industry.  I fell in love with real estate finance right away. 

It was in the Bay Area that I met my husband, Bruce.  We moved back to the Northwest in 1993.  I have three kids - one in high school, one in middle school and one in elementary school.  They keep me on my toes.

I am a self-confessed real estate junkie.  I love following the real estate market and local trends.  I am a real estate investor.  I understand from a personal perspective how to finance investment properties.  If you are interested in real estate, check out "My Favorite Websites" page for some great real estate websites, as well as other fun websites to visit.

Outside of work, I spend many weekend hours at my kids' sporting events.  I am also involved in their schools where I am on the P.T.A. board, and I act as the volunteer coordinator for the P.T.A.  In my spare time, I love to read, ride my bike, play racquetball and go for hikes with my dog, Lily.
